Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is providing Statutory Services to the exporters under
STP/EHTP scheme and also extending infrastructural facilities including High Speed Internet and IPLC
links. STPI at present has 52 centers at different locations in the country.
STPI invites applications from interest/ eligible candidates for filling up following posts on Direct
Recruitment and/or Transfer (absorption) basis.

Essential Qualifications and Experience :
For Direct Recruits :
(i) First Division in B.E./ B.Tech in Electronics/ Computer/ Information Technology or equivalent in
related field or First Division in MCA or equivalent from a recognised University/ Institution;
Experience – 8 years in the relevant field. OR
(ii) First Division in M.E./ M. Tech. in the related field from recognised University/ Institution;
Experience – 5 years in the relevant field. OR
(iii) Ph.D in Engineering/ Technology/ Science in the relevant discipline from a recognised University/

For Transfer (absorption) :
In case of transfer (absorption), officers of the Central/ State Government/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies:
i) holding analogous post on regular basis ; OR having 5 years regular service in the Grade Pay
Rs. 4600 ; AND
ii) Possessing qualifications prescribed for Direct Recruits as above.
Eligible candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format (Annexure) on A4 size paper
alongwith attested copies of qualification(s), date of birth, experience certificate(s), caste certificate
etc. by the last date of receipt of application to Sr. Admn. Officer, Software Technology Parks of India,
Electronics Niketan, 6, CGO Complex, New Delhi – 110 003 alongwith an application fee of Rs. 200/‐
(Rupees Two Hundred only) per application by Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order (having Three
months validity) in favour of ‘Software Technology Parks of India’, payable at New Delhi. No fee is
required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category. Woman candidate are also
exempted from the application fee. Fee once paid shall not be refunded. Envelope should contain one
application only. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as “Application for
the post of __________ (Post Code of the post________) against Advertisement No. ______________”.
Last Date of receipt of applications: Within 30 days of the publication of this advertisement in the
Employment News. 10 days gap shall be given in respect of applications received from the candidates
residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim,
Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba
District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Application received
after due date will not be entertained. STPI shall not be responsible for any postal delay.
General Instruction:
1. Candidates must be Indian citizens.
2. Number of post may vary.
3. (i) The upper age limit in respect of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Other
Backward Classes and persons with disabilities shall be relaxable as per Govt. of Instructions as
hereunder :

(ii) The definition of disabilities will as per OM no. 36035/3/2004‐Estt(Res) dated 29.12.2005 for (a)
blindness or low vision, (b) hearing impairment and (iii) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy(OL,
OA, BL). The visually handicapped (BLV) candidates applying for the post of Scientist ‘B’ must clearly
write/ mark the respective column in the format to determine their case and eligibility etc. Such
candidates will not be allowed to use the services of their guide/ scribe. The guide/ scribe will be
provided at the centre who will assist such candidates in writing their answer on their behalf, in
case the visibility level is such that they cannot write on their own (if required).
(iii) The upper age limit in respect of the Scientists already working on regular basis in STPI, the Exservicemen
and other special categories of persons shall be relaxable in accordance with the orders
issued by the Central Govt. from time to time in this regard.
(iv) The controlling authority may relax the upper age limit for all categories of posts in case of
highly experienced candidates in specialized scientific areas.
(v) The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be closing date for receipt of application
from candidates (and not the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal
Pradesh, Mizorum, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir
State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh,
Andaman and Nicobar Island and Lakshdweep).
4. First Division will be treated as 60%. The marks obtained may be filled in equivalent percentage
only and not grades or total marks obtained. Those who do not have clear 60% or above marks
need not apply as 59.9% will not be rounded to 60%. The candidates who have qualification MCA
or equivalent must ensure that have acquired the said qualification after doing B.Sc. in related
field.
5. Those who obtain marks in Grade may please provide the exact percentage of marks from the
University/ Institute concerned. Documentary evidence may also be enclosed, otherwise their case
will not be considered.
6. The eligibility of the candidates in terms of educational qualifications, experience, age etc. will be
determined with reference to the facts provided as on the closing date for receipt of applications.
7. Experience in the relevant field should have been acquired after attaining the minimum essential
qualification(s).
8. The appointment of selected candidates shall be on contract basis for a period of three years
which is likely to be regularized/extended/terminated depending upon the performance of the
candidate during contract service.
9. Govt./ PSU/ Autonomous Society’s employee must ensure that they have intimated their employers
to get NOC from their employers before appearing in the Interview. At the time of interview,
candidates working in Central/State Government, Government establishment, public sector
undertaking and autonomous bodies shall have to produce No Objection Certificate from their
employers otherwise their candidature shall be cancelled. Those working in
Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Societies, who get selected, could be considered for appointment on
immediate transfer (absorption) basis subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Decision of the
competent authority in STPI shall be final in this regard.
10. Candidates who have completed the required educational qualifications in all respects only need to
apply. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria for
the post applied for in terms of educational qualifications including percentage of marks in the
degree, age, experience etc. Mere calling for written examination/ interview of a candidate does
not entail him/ her for appointment to the post fulfilling the conditions of eligibility as the same
shall be checked/ verified before issuing an offer of appointment letter to the candidate
recommended in the panel of selected candidates.
11. In the event of information furnished by the candidates in the application or part thereof being
found false or detected incorrect at any stage before or after the written examination/ interview or
during the service period and/ or that the candidate not satisfying the eligibility criteria prescribed
above, his/ her candidature/ appointment is liable to be cancelled/ terminated automatically
without any notice to him/ her.
12. Applications which are not in conformity with the requirements indicated in the advertisement e.g.
applications which are not in the prescribed format/ size or are not accompanied by the attested
copies and recent photographs may be rejected straightway. Mere fulfilling the requirements as
laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate for the written test/ interview. No
correspondence or personal enquiry will be entertained with the candidates not selected for
written test/ interview/ appointment. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
13. In case the response is more, candidates will be shortlisted. For short‐listing of candidates, STPI
reserves right to fix standards for calling of the eligible candidates for written test and/ or
Interview.
14. Candidates selected against the advertisement are liable to serve in any part of India and in any
constituent units of/ under the STPI.
15. Appointment of selected candidates shall be subject to passing the prescribed medical test and
satisfying other conditions/ formalities prescribed by the Central Government prior to
appointment.
16. STPI reserves the right to operate the post(s) of higher grade in the lower grade and to offer the
appointment to the candidate in lower grade, in case the Selection Committee recommends.
17. The posts carry allowances as per Central Government Rules.
18. Candidates selected for appointment will be on probation for one year during the contract period.
19. STPI reserves the right not to fill up any of posts without assigning any reason thereof, if it so
decides.
20. In case any candidate found ineligible on any ground even after his appointment, his service will be
terminated immediately without assigning any reason thereof.
